Excellent Tour Company - door to door service with a smile!
Our family used Egypt Tours for a 6 day/5 night trip to Luxor and Aswan in December 2017. We were very happy with their services and would highly recommend them. From the minute we landed in Luxor until the minute we checked in of our departing flight 6 days later, Egypt Tours took great care of us. We had airport expeditors and drivers and guides who were all friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. The tour guides we had in both cities were Egyptologists who really know their stuff. It's a bit overwhelming to try to understand/remember all the details of Egypt's long and fascinating history, but they both did a great job keeping it interesting and fun for us all. It was convenient that the tour package includes restaurant lunches so you don't have to think/worry about that (we had friends in Cairo at the same time and their tour company never stopped for lunch so their 6 year old was hungry!). We also loved that they had wifi available in the vans and that they always had cool bottled water available for us. There is a lot to see/do in Egypt so it's a good idea to do some research before you go to figure out what sites you want to see. We gave Egypt Tours a good idea of what we wanted and they set it all up. In Luxor we visited Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Temple of Hatshipsut, Valley of the Kings (the main ticket gets you into 3 of the 8 tombs. We recommend paying extra for Tut-Ankh-Amon and Ramses V/VI tombs). Be aware that Egypt Tours (and probably all tour companies) will add in a few stops you may not have asked for - to a papyrus shop, a perfume shop in Cairo and a stone working factory in Luxor. Theoretically you shouldn't feel pressured to buy anything in these places, but it's hard not to feel like you should at least buy something small. Overall we loved our trip and would definitely recommend Egypt Tours.
