Serving as the administrative center of Kosova, Pristina, located along the Lake Badovac features a humid continental climate with extremely warm summers, very cold and often snowy winters. Growing from the ruins of a former Roman city, Pristina is currently home to a majority of Albanian population. Although English is widely spoken within downtown Pristina due to the presence of several international organizations, Albanian is the main language often heard in the streets.
A walking tour is undoubtedly the best way to see Pristina. With cafes everywhere around town teeming with fashionably dressed young people, Pristina is a great place if you like coffee and have time. Served by the Pristina International Airport offering scheduled flight services to/from most European cities, Pristina is also accessible by bus services to/from most neighboring countries as well.
