The Ken Ghariyal Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh in the confluence of Ken and Khudar rivers. Ken Ghariyal sanctuary gets its name from the 6 m long fish-eating Ghariyal, the very rare species of crocodiles. This Sanctuary is natural habitat of Ghariyal. Apart from Ghariyal, many other species can be spotted here. Wild boar, Chinkara, blue bull, peacock and chital are some among them.
This is a beautiful sanctuary to visit; specifically wild life enthusiasts will have the rare chance of getting a view of Ghariyal. The other visitor attractions are the Rajgarh Fort is situated at a distance of 25 km and the World famous Khajuraho temples are situated only 18 km away. The Circuit House and hotels at Khajuraho are places where visitors could find a pleasant accommodation.
