Day 1: Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by CAT Safaris representative who will assist with the transfer to the hotel for overnight.
Situated 160 km south of the equator, Nairobi is the capital of Kenya and boasts one of the finest climates in the world. This modern, cosmopolitan city is the regional headquarters for many African and Indian Ocean businesses. With delegates attracted here from around the world, they come for the friendliness of the people, the modern hotel facilities and the vast array of fascinating options available throughout the city. Although the ‘City in the sun’ is relatively young by global standards, it has fascinating history capturing explorers, missionaries, wars, cultural diversity and politics etc., each leaving their mark on the city center in some way. Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2, 3: Samburu Game Reserve. Begin your exploration of this magnificent country as you drive on its rugged roads, through rich farm land, en route to Samburu Reserve, which lies 200 miles north of Nairobi on the hot and arid fringes of the vast northern region of Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a game viewing drive. On the second day, you will morning and afternoon game drives with all meals and overnight at your camp.
The reserve is within the lands of the colorful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and home to a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere in Kenya: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa Oryx, all found only north of the equator. The graceful gerenuk, an antelope with its characteristic long neck, spends much of its time in a bipedal stance seeking relaxation in the sparse scrub that grows in this harsh terrain. This dramatic landscape is blanketed by the hot equatorial sun for most of the year. Relief comes from the cool waters of the Uaso Nyiro ("Brown") River, which rises to the west on the foothills of the Aberdares and which vanishes beyond Samburu in the soggy expanse known as the Lorian swamp. The scenery in Samburu is magnificent and the birdlife awesome. Elephant Bedroom Camp is located in the Samburu Game Reserve by the Uaso Nyiro River. This is the perfect lodge from which to view large numbers of elephants using the river to drink, bathe and play. Huge troops of baboons patrol the riverbanks daily and in the camp itself vervet monkeys socialize in the trees. Each of the 24 exclusive, comfortable, deluxe tents gives perfect views of the river, surrounding beautiful landscapes and all life this brown river supports. Every spacious tent consists of a king size or twin beds, dressing area, sitting area, luggage rack, and en suite facilities. Elephant Bedroom Camp (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4: Masai Mara. After breakfast at your luxurious camp, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara is world famous for its black-manned lions and the annual migration of the wildebeest, listed as one of the eight natural wonders of the modern world.
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Mara Explorer Camp, a luxury canvas getaway on its own private peninsula with the Talek meandering around it. Mara Explorer guides, from the local Maasai and communities will accompany you on day and night game drives, bush walks, bird watching trips, picnics, sundowners and cultural visits. This is the Africa of which you have a dreamed. Mara Explorer Camp (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5, 6: Masai Mara. Days spent game-viewing in the reserve with morning and afternoon shared game drives. Masai Mara is a classic savannah & grassland area, where animals are plentiful and the vistas spectacular. In this dreamlike land, animals live in freedom, and the Maasai tend their cattle, all sharing the same land with minimal conflict. You will have three days of wildlife-viewing opportunities in the Masai Mara Reserve, also known as the “Jewel of Africa,” a site with one of the largest and the most spectacular animal migrations in the world.
