The World Heritage Sites Tour - Indonesia
Our first stop is at Taman Ayun, a royal family temple of the Mengwi Empire built in the year 1364. This majestic temple is set on land that is surrounded by a large fish pond and houses a beautiful temple building with multi-storied roofs and distinctive Balinese architecture.
Next, we drive up to Bedugul, a mountain resort situated over 1,000 meters above sea level where we make a stop at Lake Bratan to visit Ulun Danu temple. Built in 1663, this temple is used for ceremonial offerings to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali.
Our next stop will be Gobleg hill to see the beautiful view of the twin lakes Beratan and Tamblingan. Afterwards we proceed our way to Jati Luwih - a UNESCO world heritage site and the largest rice paddy field in Asia, where you will be able to take some gorgeous pictures.
The last stop in our journey will be the world-famous Tanah Lot temple, whose rocky abode is a wonderful spot to watch the sunset before I drop you off at your hotel.
