Splendid Kerala Backwaters

Alappuzha is gifted with great natural beauty with the Laccadive Sea on its west. The town has a network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers. This annual shifting of sandbank appears during the post-monsoon period and contributes to the local economy and is a festive season for the people of Kerala. The annual floods rejuvenate and cleanse the soil and water due to which there is abundance of marine life like prawns, lobsters, fishes, turtles, and other flora in the sea.

House boat in local language is called as Kettuvallam and in the earlier times these are used for transporting cargos. But in the recent times, these big vessels have been replaced by more and modern modes of transport and converted into luxury floating paradise. House Boats are measuring from 120 feet in length or more, with one bedroom boats to six en-suite air-conditioned bedrooms with all modern facilities and amenities. These are built and furnished from local materials.

Thanks to Mr. James Joseph, we, a group of 10 persons, really enjoyed our trip to Kerala.
He chose the right hotels for us as per our requirement. Even the tempo traveller used for our travelling was in excellent condition. The driver was really experienced and guided us correctly.
The best part was that his rates were also the most reasonable.
We recommended to our friends who also booked through Dona Holidays. They also thoroughly enjoyed their trip.
I would strongly recommend to book through Dona Holidays.
Thank you very much Mr. James for a memorable trip.
Looking forward to booking our next trip through you.

James Joseph with Dona Holidays was an excellent facilitator to organize our trip to see the best of Kerala. He selected outstanding accommodations and chose a very knowledgeable driver/tour guide for us. We will employ James Joseph again on our next trip to South India.
