Day 1: Negombo
A city tour will be arranged in an Antique Car in Negombo which is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the west coast and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon, in Western Province. Negombo is the fourth largest city in Sri Lanka and it is also the administrative capital centre of Negombo Division. Negombo is one of the major commercial hubs in Sri Lanka and it is a very important economic centre in the country with about 144,551 inhabitants within city limits.
Negombo Lagoon is a large estuarine lagoon in Negombo, south-west Sri Lanka.The lagoon is fed by a number of small rivers and a canal. It is linked to the sea by a narrow channel to the north, near Negombo city. It is surrounded by a densely populated region containing rice paddies, coconut plantations and grassland. The land is used for fishing and agriculture. The lagoon has extensive mangrove swamps and attracts a wide variety of water birds including cormorants, herons, egrets, gulls, terns and other shorebirds. Negombo, Katunayake, Seeduwa are some nearby towns.

This is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. Day 2 /3: You will be taken to Trincomalee
In Trincomalee you can experience the lovely Indian Ocean lapped on the golden beaches of the beautiful port city of Trincomalee.
Trincomalee, is an anglicized form of the Tamil word “Tiru-kona-malai”, meaning “Lord of the Sacred Hill”; a reference to the town’s ancient Koneswaran Temple. Thiru comes from the Tamil for “sacred”, Kona means “Lord” or “Chief” in the language while Malai in Tamil means mountain or hill. Trincomalee is one of the main centers of Tamil speaking culture in Sri Lanka. People belonging to all races including the Tamil, Muslim and Sinhala communities in Trincomalee live in absolute harmony and mutual respect.
You can also visit Pigeon Island National Park one of the two national Parks of Sri Lanka. The national park is situated 1 km off the coast of Nilaveli, Trincomalee a coastal town in Eastern Province, encompassing a total area of 471.429 hectares. The island’s name derives from the rock pigeon which has colonized it. The national park contains some of the best remaining coral reefs of Sri Lanka.

Day 4: Travel to Anuradhapura which is a major city in Sri Lanka
It is the capital city of North Central Province, Sri Lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura District. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sri Lankan civilization. It was the third capital of the Kingdom of Rajarata, following the kingdoms of Tambapanni and Upatissa Nuwara.

Leaving Anuradhapura and then returning to Negombo or to the Airport according to your flight schedule.
