Arrive in your hotel and meet your Tour Leader and your other fellow travelers. Get to know each other a bit before getting in our private coach exploring the streets and sights of Berlin for introduction to the city on our driving tour.
Learn more about this famous city’s activities as you orientate yourself for your free day in town, whilst seeing sights such as The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Check Point Charlie.
Head to the top of the Telespargel Tower with your group and see Berlin with 360 degree views. Free time follows to explore the city before meeting again for our welcome meal in the epic German institution- The Hofbrauhaus.
Day 2: Berlin Free Day
Enjoy a nice breakfast in the hotel before heading out on a day of discovery! Berlin has so much to offer from the neo-classic architecture, art, its real abundance of food choices, to the remains of the cities more modern colourful history.
Maybe lunch by the Spree River, shop till you drop, discover the museums, learn about Hitler’s Third Reich or hunt down the cities underground graffiti hot spots.
Don’t forget Berlin is well known for its night life, so perhaps enjoy a beer in the Summer night weather or find a famous underground night spot!
Day 3: Berlin – Prague
Today we say goodbye to capital of Germany and make our way to storybook city of Prague in the Czech Republic.
After arrival we head straight into the city for an exciting walking and orientation tour of the city of 100 golden spires. See the Tyne Church, Astronomical Clock, Old Town Square, Charles Bridge & more…
After in your free time enjoy a nice Czech traditional meal of slow cooked meats and bread dumplings, or maybe a shot of Absinthe is more your cup of tea. You will never run out of things to do in this city.
Day 4: Prague Free Day
Enjoy a free day to go at your leisure. So much to do from discovering the castle district, eating in a traditional restaurant, discovering all about the Czech’s love of Beer, learning about the marionettes from a local vendor, or taking advantage of the many museums and genuine 15th century buildings.
You can spend your day in the gorgeous city of Cesky Krumlov and see its famous brown bears for a different take on Czech culture and life before heading back to the capital.
Don’t forget to check out Prague at night and see the city glow in amber lights. So round up your fellow travelers and enjoy a group meal and a night out you won’t forget…
Day 5: Prague – Vienna
It’s time head to the home of one of Europe’s largest family and dynasty of the Habsburgs. Their Baroque vision will en-capture and surprise as we visit this city sprawled either side of the mighty Danube River.
Today we meet a local guide who will take you on a walking tour of the baroque city. See St Stephens Church, Hofburg Complex, Opera House and more…
With free time calling in the afternoon, no visit in Vienna is complete without visiting Vienna’s oldest amusement park called Prater Park, or stay in the city and hunt down some strudel after a great schnitzel dinner.
Day 6: Vienna Free Day
Day Today is your day to explore more of what the city has to offer. (Many tours only get one night and really do miss the charm that Vienna offers.)
Check out the Lipizzaner horses in dressage and training, Vienna’s Museum Quarter, with 20 museums, hunt down a schnapps museum for a taste and tour or maybe you just love to lounge your day away and get caught up in the cafe culture that the city is famous for.
Head out earlier in the day with you tour leader and visit the summer home and gardens of the Habsburgs. Home to the cities oldest zoo, massive gardens, hedge maze and palace itself, there is lots to explore at Schonbrunn Palace. Entry to Place is included.
Day 7: Vienna – Budapest
The tour leaves the Danube city and travels to the Jewel of Eastern Europe… Budapest! Today a coach guided tour of the city given to you by your tour leader is included.
Traveling from Buda to Pest is a treat as you drive over the beautifully built bridges stretching across the mighty Danube. Maybe a surprise stop or two will lead to some of the most amazing visions you’ve ever seen.
The evening is then yours to head out for more food or gather your group to discover what happens in Budapest after the sun goes down.
Day 8: Budapest Free Day
Free Day Today is your free day to explore the city at your leisure.
The Szechenyi Baths are perfect to relax your weary bones or to replenish you for the day ahead, or you can spend a day in the park lands with a nice picnic near Hero’s Square or maybe you wish to check out the markets that pop up in Deak Square close to the cities shopping roads.
Some of you may be more interested in the darker side of communism and will want to make sure you head to the House of Terror, where you can learn all about the communist’s many decades of influence.
Perhaps the only perfect way to end this journey on your last night is to get together with your fellow travelers for a farewell meal that’s included.
Day 9: Farewell in Budapest
Time to make sure you have finalised all your new friends in your phone and datebook. With the tour finishing after breakfast we hope we have made this the highlight of your travels and that you have met people you will now know forever.
