Coney Island - Then and Now

The once bustling beach resort that attracted millions for more than a century is striving to make a comeback. Gone are the large amusement parks that dotted the boardwalk and Surf Avenue, restaurants and snack bars, side shows and seaonsal bungalows. Still remaining is Nathan's, famous for its hot dog, the roller coaster and wonder wheel. Relatively new is the MCU ball park, Luna Park and the NY Aquarium. Brand new to the scene is the amphitheater and the restored Child's restaurant building.
