Dubois, Wyoming was originally known as Never Sweat due to its warm and dry winds. However, the postal service found the name Never Sweat unacceptable so Dubois was accepted, named after Fred Dubois, an Idaho senator at the time. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.6square miles (6.8Square kilometers), of which, 2.6squaremiles (6.7Square kilometers) of it is land and 0.38% is water. Dubois is a town in Fremont County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 962 at the 2000 census, although it nearly doubles in the summer with many part-time residents.
