Sterling is a town in Sanpete County, Utah, United States. The population was 235 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 Square miles (0.6 Square kilometer), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 235 people, 73 households, and 58 families residing in the town. There were 81 housing units at an average density of 336.5 per square mile (130.3/Square kilometer). The racial makeup of the town was 97.45% White, 1.28% Native American, 0.43% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races.
