Tupper Lake is a village in Franklin County, New York. The village takes its name from a nearby lake, which, in turn, is the name of a surveyor who drowned there while fishing. Tupper Lake is home to the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, which is nicknamed and marketed as "The Wild Center". The Village of Tupper Lake is in the Town of Tupper Lake. The town and the village are in the southwest part of the county.
