Mount Pleasant is the county seat and largest city of Titus County in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2000 census, Mount Pleasant's population was 13,935. A major project is underway to build a 271 loop bypass around Mount Pleasant. Mount Pleasant's considered to be part of the humid subtropical area.
