Bellmead is a city in McLennan County, Texas, United States. The population was 9,901 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.2 square miles (16 km2), all of it land. As of the census of 2010, there were 9,901 people, 3,513 households, and a labor force size of 4,756 people. The population density was 1,549 people per square mile (571.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 42.5% White, 17.2% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race is 37.8% of the population.
