Quartz Lakes Loop Trail crosses the Bowman Creek and gradually climbs along the shores of Bowman Lake. This trail then ascends the Cerulean Ridge and eventually drops into the Quartz Creek Valley at the Quartz Lake. It further turns southwest for three miles along the valley before climbing over the ridge back to the starting point.
Starting from the southeast corner of the Bowman Campground, near the back country parking area, the Quartz Lakes Loop Trail features just about 1,470 feet of elevation change..
