McGaheysville is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located along U.S. Route 33 between Penn Laird and Elkton, and sits at the base of the Massanutten. McGayeysville lies in northern central Virginia in the northeastern United States. It lies along the U.S. Route 33, between Penn Laird to the west and Elkton to the east.This road is part of the Spotswood Trail which leads from Harrisonburg located several kilometres beyond Penn Laird to the west. McGaheysville is located near the south fork of Shenandoah River in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.
