Langley Park is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in the Washington, D.C. metro area. It is located inside the Capital Beltway, on the northwest edge of Prince George's County, Maryland, bordering Montgomery County, Maryland. Two transit station locations in the proposed Purple Line are being planned to serve Langley Park. One is at the Montgomery/Prince George's county line, at New Hampshire Avenue and University Boulevard ("Takoma/Langley Crossroads"), recently named the most dangerous intersection in Maryland for pedestrians. The danger is due to crossings of these six-lane routes mid-block at curbside bus stops.
