Kennedale is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,850 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.0square miles (15.6 square kilometers), all of it land. Settled in the 1860s. Named for Oliver S. Kennedy who platted Kennedale, and donated every other lot to the Southern Pacific Railroad.
