Hinsdale is a suburb of Chicago, Illinois; it is located partly in Cook County and mainly in DuPage County in the U.S. state of Illinois. The town has a rolling, wooded topography, with a quaint downtown and is a 30-minute train ride to downtown Chicago on the BNSF Railway Line. It is in the top 1% wealthiest towns in Illinois. Hinsdale, Illinois is located 20 miles west of Chicago, between Western Springs and Clarendon Hills. It can be reached from Interstate 294 or Interstate 55. The eastern boundary of Hinsdale is I-294, and the western boundary is Route 83. Hinsdale is bordered to the south by Burr Ridge, the east - Western Springs, the north - Oak Brook and the west - Clarendon Hills.
