An interesting trails linking the western and central parts of the Superstition Wilderness. A section in Randolph and Fraser Canyon is subject to heavy flood damage. Very long grade east of Sandy Saddle. West to-east travel is recommended to avoid a long climb.
Use of any mechanized or motorized travel is prohibited on this trail. No more than 15 people are allowed to be in a group. No more than 15 head of livestock are allowed in a group.
Can be accessed through Peralta TH: Peralta TH: Drive east on Hwy. 60, past Apache Junction, to the end of the freeway. Continue approximately 5 miles from there (past Gold Canyon) to the Peralta Road on the left (near mile post 204). Drive through the Peralta Trail community to the dirt Peralta Road. The TH is 7 miles north on this dirt road.
