Meandering through pine flatwoods and scrub for 1.3 miles inside Clearwater Lake Recreation Area, the Clearwater Lake Nature Trail starts and ends at the day use area beach. Follow the path around Clearwater Lake to enjoy scenic vistas from many perspectives.
Accessibility: There are several boardwalks at the north end of the trail, but the trail is a natural surface, soft and sandy, for the majority of the loop. Frequent benches provide spots to rest along the 1.3-mile loop.
Directions: The trail starts at the day use beach area and slips behind the tent sites into the forest rimming the lake. Interpretive signs add to your understanding of the habitats along the trail.
