The Cathedral Basilica of St. James is the cathedral church of the Diocese of Brooklyn. It is located at the corner of Jay Street and Cathedral Place in Downtown Brooklyn.While officially the cathedral for the diocese, many major ceremonies are held at the much larger Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Sunset Park neighborhood in southwestern Brooklyn.The Rector of Saint James Cathedral-Basilica is Rev. Msgr. John Strynkowski, STD.Weekday Mass is celebrated at 12:00 PM.Saturday Vigil Mass for Sunday is at 5:00 PM and Sunday Mass is at 10:00 AM. Masses are broadcasted on NET TV daily.
