Passing through a winding gravel path through a sagebrush meadow past aspen grove towards the visitor center, the Aspen Ridge Loop winds inside forests of lodgepole pine, Douglas fir, and blue spruce, almost parallel to Lake Creek. Later this path moves along the southern shore of Phelps Lake offering great views of the Tetons, before turning south for the back-trip.
