Polish Saint - Maximilian Maria Kolbe, before he died in KL Auschwitz (giving his life for another prisoner) was inprisoned by Nazists together with other priests in Stalag III B Amtitzt (nowadays village Gebice). Nazi Germany isolation and war prisoners' camp Stalag IIIB Amtitz was founded in summer of 1939.
