Sundarbans forest is the sole mangrove land of India which is located in the extreme south of Bengal within the vicinity of Bay of Bengal. The Sundarbans are known for its royal Bengal tiger those which are ill-named as man eaters. This wild cat family here in Sundarbans is known to be clever hunters and live and feed on smaller living beings for survival. Known to be one of the most magnificent and fascinating, yet a ferocious breed, Royal Bengal tigers are treacherous and one of the most important range of Indian tigers in the world. This wildlife habitat also includes eclectic flora and fauna including crocs, dolphins, king cobras, lizards, pythons and Olive Ridley. Sundarban parkland is a world heritage site since the 1987. It was established in the year 1980 by UNESCO.
