Rairangpur is a town and a notified area committee in Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Orissa. It is situated at about 85 kilometres from district headquarters of Baripada and about 80 km away from Jamshedpur.
The Khadkhai (Sulaipat) Dam is a local attraction nearby and Shimilipal Sanctuary is in the approachable distance attracting many foreign tourists.
As of 2001[update] India census, Rairangpur had a population of 21,682. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Rairangpur has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 65%. A good number of tribals are among highly educated and highly placed in different organisations. In Rairangpur, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
