Banjar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kullu district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It has an average elevation of 1962 metres (6436 feet). The place lies on the alternate route to Kullu from Shimla. The main route is from Bilaspur and Mandi. The alternate route goes from Theog, Aani, Jalori Pass, Banjar and joins the main route at Aut.
The main deity of the region is Shringarishi with a temple dedicated to him at a height of more Than 3962 metres (13,000′) where people go once a year in May during a festival.
