The pasture with thinly scattered trees below the castle opposite the vine hill evokes an almost idyllic atmosphere. At the same time the natural values of the area are considerable as well. The elevating mood of Cserhát mountains is ensured by the dichotomy of undulating landscape and the sharp stony peaks protected by their covering andesite from the passage of time. The woods of the hills mainly contain a mixture of Turkey oaks and oak community, bluebells, the small meadow rue (Thalictrum minus) and the large milkwort (Polygala sp.) blossom on the meadows and on the fringes of woods. The eroded rocky parts are decorated by stonecrop and sempervivum (Sempervivum hirtum).
Location: The landscape protection area includes the village of Hollókő and its immediate neighbourhood.
