The University of East London (UEL) is a university located in the London Borough of Newham, east London, England, based at two campuses in Stratford and Docklands areas, with a third campus, University Square, due to open in Stratford in 2013. The university has more than 28,000 students from 120 countries worldwide.
UEL also delivers a range of programmes and short courses at the Barking Learning Centre in a nearby borough. Off-campus, there are students registered on programmes with UK and non-UK academic partners, such as the Women's Institute of Management in Malaysia. Degree programmes and other courses are taught at UEL by one of seven teaching Schools. In addition, there are three Schools that carry out administrative roles: the School of Combined Honours, the Graduate School and UELconnect, which manages Distance & E-learning and short courses.
