For those who love avoiding the crowds, then Winter W-Trek in Torres del Paine is a perfect fit and the best way to see the highlights of Torres del Paine National Park. Hike right to the base of the spectacular Towers del Paine, see the giant southern ice fields and experience Patagonian's famous winds. The first day starts with the journey from Puerto Natales to the park entrance and an overnight at the relaxing Refugio Torre Central. We start the trek the following morning with a hike up to the Towers Lookout point for amazing views of the world famous granitic spires. The trek continues along the shores of Lago Nordenskjold to the beautiful French Valley which features excellent views of the surrounding hanging glaciers, mountain lakes and several peaks. The last day of the trek takes you to the Glacier Grey viewpoint where you will get a firsthand look at the massive Patagonian Ice Field where you may see icebergs calving directly from the glacier into the lake. You will be staying at local lodges or camp sites and will be guided by an expert English speaking trekking guide.

Day 1 - Hike to Pehoe Lake

Overnight in Paine Grande Refugio

Early morning pickup from Puerto Natales and drive into Torres del Paine National Park. Once registration has been completed, we will begin our hike along the Las Carretas trail. Snake around the Pehoe Lake towards your destination, Refugio Paine Grande.

Day 2 - French Valley Hike, return

Overnight Paine Grande Refugio
18 kms, approx 7-8 hrs

After breakfast we will start out on the trek to the French Valley, in the middle of the national park. Our aim today is to reach the view point, which provides panoramic views of the valley, as well as the highest peak in Torres del Paine, Paine Grande itself. See the glaciers on the mountain side, and listen out for any avalanches on the distant slopes. Los Cuernos also dominates the skyline on this challenging day hike. Lunch at the viewpoint, before returning to Paine Grande for a well deserved rest

Day 3 - Hike to Grey

Overnight Paine Grande Refugio
22 kms, approx 8 hrs

To complete this side of the park, we will be heading towards the Grey Glacier. Today we start out early to ensure we get enough time to appreciate the beauty this glacier has to offer. First stop is Laguna Negra, with the first glimpse of icebergs and the glacier in the distance. Lunch at Refugio Grey before continuing 15 minutes further towards the viewpoint. After you have seen your fill, we will head back to Paine Grande on the same trail for our last night at the refugio

Day 4 - Las Carretas trail to Hosteria Pehoe

16 kms, approx 5 hrs
Overnight Hosteria Pehoe

Set out after breakfast returning as we did on Day 1, via Las Carretas trail. Leave Lake Pehoe behind, as we hike to our overnight destination, Hosteria Pehoe. The hotel is situated on the lake, this gorgeous location is truly a well hidden secret of Torres del Paine

Day 5 - Base of Towers, return to Puerto Natales

22 kms, approx 8-9 hrs
2 hrs transfer to Puerto Natales

Another early start as we begin the day to complete our Torres del Paine adventure. A short transfer to Las Torres, and the hike to the Base of Towers viewpoint. Head up first to the Chileanos refugio, and then tackle the steep moraine to reach the lookout. From here you can see the brilliant colours of the laguna, as well as the three Towers. Lunch at the top of the moraine, before descending along the same path back to Las Torres where your transfer will be waiting for you.

Head back to Puerto Natales and be dropped off at your hotel for a well deserved rest
