San Pablo is a transfer station between the Line 1 and Line 5 of the Santiago Metro. It consists of two single-line metro stations joined by a pedestrian tunnel. The older station is part of the Line 1 and has a street-level mezzanine. The roof over that station is saw-tooth shaped with open gables and is made of reinforced concrete.
The most recently built station is on the Line 5. A significant portion of this station occupies a deep shaft used in the excavation of the tunnel of the Line 5. A small mezzanine leads to the shaft, which is connected to the corridor that goes toward the older station. Both stations have two side platforms and two tracks.
