A question I get asked a lot is how I got started traveling and I how I caught the infamous travel bug. I’ve told this story so many times that I thought I’d actually write it out for you here today. Here we go.

Prepared to be awed at the sight of China’s Great Wall. It’s not one of those much talked about attractions that actually underwhelms you when you see it. Quite the opposite, this expansive piece of construction – presumably the result of mostly manual labor – lives up to its impressive reputation and surprises you with even more.

Mumbai is a city where, to get anywhere, you must travel. The only issue is; the destination is about 45 minutes away but, the traffic makes it hours away. So, instead of travelling to the same location every day, wouldn’t it make you more happy to travel and reach an absolutely picturesque destination?

Canyoning in Dalat definitely goes down as one of the most scary yet exhilarating days of my life. Our sore muscles and battle wounds remain a constant reminder of how good of a day it really was. We started the day oblivious to what was coming. Task 1 was descending down to the waterfalls, which was a fairly easy stroll.

After a few days in Taichung, my Taiwanese friend Olivia and I traveled to Hualien, a naturally-preserved, remote beach town on Taiwan’s east coast. The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and we spent a few days biking, walking along the beach and drinking beers on the rocks, while listening to the waves crashing meters from our feet.

Let me start off by saying I am an avid NYC subway rider, and am very thankful to have it at my disposal. For $2.75 per ride or $31 per week unlimited I can go absolutely anywhere in the five boroughs, and even a bit beyond.
