About
- Neuhofen an der Krems, Upper Austria, Austria

On the left hand side of the Kremstal Federal Road you´ll find Weissenberg Castle, dominated by its mighty tower. The gate to the castle´s courtyard is a quadrangle tower house that was an impressive defensive structure in its hey days. The wide open inner courtyard is embedded between the three original wings and an extended transverse part. The deep ditch in front of its entrance once was spanned by an arched brick bridge. The bridge and the ditch were removed and filled up with debris in 1803.
In the course of time, the Castle has been developed into a magnificent manor with graciously arranged living space. And although the Castle has been completely refurbished one can still see that it was once built to last the centuries, with thick exterior walls. Today, the Castle is a private residence that is decorated with antique furniture and paintings.
