- • http://region.austria.info
The church was established on the influence of the Nikola Foundation, in 1140, and was dedicated to a nobleman. Today´s exterior is dating back to the year 1737.
Initially the church, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, was situated on a hill. The beautiful interior features three brick altars: the Saint Nicholas high altar, the Florien altar and the Leonard altar. On the backside you can admire two church galleries. The high altar is dating back to 1660 and was donated to Neuhofen/Innkreis by Andrichsfurth in 1740.
The side altar on the right, dedicated to Saint Florien, comprises a tiny second altar depicting Saint Joseph and the 14 helpers. This masterpiece was created by Johann Franz Schwanthaler (1683 - 1762).
