The village center was once situated around the church. The church tower can be seen high above the roofs of the sunny village. It is a real gothic gem with precious altars and colorfully painted windows.
Kauns' Parish Church is a typical Tirolean countryside church. Late Gothic elements, which still determine the church's appearance, were later added to the original Romanic building. Between 1985 and 1988 the church was restored. The paintings on the ceiling were painted by Thomas Köhle in 1901. The high altar and the relief were made by Josef Bachlechner.
