The Große Ahornboden in der Eng, at 1,200 m, is the most beautiful valley bottom of the Eastern Alps. With its 500-year-old maple trees, it is Europe´s most visited national park. It is in particular the contrast between the lovely maple forest and the 1,400 m high rock faces that makes this sight a unique experience. The park can only be reached on an asphalt (toll) road from Vorderriß via Hinterriß to the Eng.
