Waterfall railway station is a Sydney railway station serving the suburb of Waterfall, New South Wales and is the last stop of the suburban section of the Illawarra line. Waterfall station also provides access to Camp Coutts, a large Scout campsite. The station opened in 1886, moving to its present location in 1905. Waterfall is used by an average of 540 commuters each weekday.
The station receives approximately two suburban trains an hour in off-peak, with more services in peak hours. South Coast line trains stop at the station every two hours in each direction. Other trains go directly from Sutherland to Helensburgh or vice-versa without stopping at Waterfall. Trains may terminate on either platform before returning to the city. The station is served by three to four trains per hour each way, with additional trains during weekday peak hours.
