Sefton is a railway station on the Inner West railway line of the CityRail network. It serves the Sydney suburb of Sefton, a mostly residential area. Clustered around Sefton railway station is a fruit shop, a chemist, a gunsmith, a funeral parlour, and the "Sefton Playhouse", a popular strip club. The station has a simple island platform.
The station is serviced by two trains per hour in each direction on the Inner West Line during peak hours and at night on weekdays, and two trains per hour on the Bankstown Line all day. This makes four trains per hour in each direction during peak hours and at night on weekdays, and two trains per hour in each direction outside these times.
