The Rothwell Ruins are located within the grounds of the Saker Estate. The private residence was constructed back in late 2010 and still continues to the present with over 25 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, library and soon to be hedgemaze.
The Rothwell Ruins are what remains of the Travellers Rest that once stood upon this site prior to burning down no less than twice. There is one tall chimney that is attached to the remains of the old kitchen and dining space. Next to it is a considerably shorter chimney that was also used for, what as believed to be cooking. Close by is also an underground well that was used to store water, but has since been filled in.
Permission may have to be granted for entry. However one is able to take photographs from the road.
