Gardenvale is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Gardenvale, on the Sandringham railway line. Gardenvale station is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 1. It is located in an unusual position, between the Nepean Highway and Martin Street rail overpasses, with station access from both.
The station consists of two elevated side platforms; Platform 1 has a large weatherboard building. Platform 2 has a smaller weatherboard building. The adjacent photograph shows the Platform 1 building previous to this fire, which badly damaged the building. The rebuilding works completed in mid 2011 faithfully restored the building. A Myki machine and a large Metcard ticket vending machine are located at the entrance to platform 1. A small coin-only Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 2.
