railway station is a railway station on the Cityrail network, a short distance from Cronulla Beach
, on the Pacific Ocean. It is the eastern terminus of a dual line railway from Sutherland, New South Wales
. The station is unusual in that the two platforms are situated end to end, rather than side by side. The station has Easy Access for wheelchairs because the platforms are at street level.
Under the CityRail Clearways Project, the single line to Cronulla was duplicated. As a result, train stabling east of Cronulla has been replaced by stabling sidings opposite platform 2. From 1911 until 1932, steam trams operated a service between Cronulla and Sutherland. The railway line that replaced the tram service opened in December 1939.
