. It is officially located on the Main Southern line and is served by the South and Airport and East Hills lines. It is the main terminus of the Cumberland Line and most intercity Southern Highlands Line services. It is also served by some CountryLink services.
The station was opened on 17 May 1858. At one time it was the junction for the Campbelltown-Camden line but this branch line was removed in 1963.Campbelltown is the terminus of the South and Cumberland lines. However, a few South Line services a day continue south to Macarthur Station.This station is serviced by four trains per hour each way, with additional trains during weekday peak hours.
