Arncliffe railway station is located on the CityRail Ill awarra railway line in the southern Sydney
suburb of Arncliffe. It consists of two island platforms with access via an overhead concourse and booking office at the southern end.Arncliffe station opened with the railway on 15 October 1884 and comprised two side platforms. The substantial station building on platforms 1 and 2 was the original entrance to the station and faced the street on the western side. Trains generally use platforms 1 and 2 during weekday peak hours, and 3 and 4 at other times. The station is served by two trains per hour each way, with additional trains during weekday peak hours.
