Peninsula Valdes & Whale Watching

This sightseeing adventure will highlight the best of the Antarctic wildlife in Argentina’s natural world heritage site, the Valdes Peninsula; offering the possibility to behold all sorts of Patagonian species such as whales, sea lions and penguins.
The Peninsula Valdes tour begins early in the morning, heading for the Atlantic coast and the Peninsula Valdes. Here you can visit the “Carlos Ameghino” interpretation centre, which has an excellent informative collection of historical events that took place in this area of Patagonia, the ecosystems and the regional flora and fauna surrounding Puerto Madryn. We the then follow to Puerto Pirámide, a small traditional village on the south Atlantic shores of the Peninsula Valdes and an important tourist location to spot Southern Right Whales, which visit the area from May through to December.
Continuing to Punta Norte, an area of outstanding beauty with a wide range of both marine and land life: sea lions, elephant seals and orcas; before traveling onwards to Punta Delgada to sightsee elephant seals and possibly the Orcas (between September to April). To conclude this exciting day tour, you´ll visit the Great Salt Depression, one of the deepest land depressions in South America, and then on to the Isle of Birds with its incredible variety of birds before returning to Puerto Madryn in the evening.
After getting back to Puerto Madryn, passengers will be able to join the whale watching boat tour to have an excellent close-up view of the captivating whales.
