Masvingo

Masvingo formerly known as Fort Victoria offers its visitors with wide variety of attractions such as Great Zimbabwe National Monument, Kyle Game Reserve and Lake Mutirikwe Recreational Park. One of the greatest historical and cultural attractions near Masvingo is the ruins of Great Zimbabwe. Located around 30 km from the city, the ruins main highlight is the national monument that dates back to around 1250 AD and is set atop a granite dome.

 Glenlivet in Masvingo is one of the best sightseeing attraction featuring mountains and offers excellent photography opportunities. The Italian Chapel build during the World War II by Italian prisoners of war is another important place to visit. Besides this, other important tourist attractions in Masvingo include Pioneer Cemetery, Providential Pass monument, Cotopaxi Ranch and Murray McDougall Drive.
