Espiritu Santo is spread over an area of around 3,955 sq km, making it one of the largest islands of Vanuatu. It is also considered as the vacationers paradise, because its South Pacific's last great unexplored island. Santo is one of the first South Pacific islands to be colonized in the year 1606. This island served as a strong American military base during World War II.
