Safe Passage (Camino Seguro) Tour

Each tour lasts approximately 3 hours (plus travel time) and includes a viewing of the Guatemala City garbage dump from the city’s General Cemetery. Tours visit our Escuelita, Educational Reinforcement Center, Adult Literacy classroom and Creamos recycled jewelry initiative. Your donation covers transportation cost and trained Safe Passage staff guide services.
Our community is one of extreme poverty. Visitors may see difficult scenes of violence, addiction, and animal neglect. We recommend that visitors be at least 15 years of age. Throughout the tour, trained Safe Passage staff provide historical and cultural information relevant to our community, our programs, and our mission. We encourage you to ask questions.
