watching lions hunt over the endless plains of the Serengeti through which the famous wildebeest migration passes into Kenya’s Masai Mara; sighting the rare Black Rhino in the ‘Lost World’ of the Ngorongoro Crater floor; experiencing the thrill of a close encounter with the giraffe and elephants of Lake Manyara and Tarangire;

Hunting with the Hadzabe, the authentic Bushmen of Lake Eyasi who still rely on these ancient techniques to subsist; spending time with the families of Maasai tribes people and learning about their fascinating culture in remote villages that very few visit.

Day 1 – Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport/Arusha Air Strips or Arusha Bus Terminal
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your Ilboru Safari lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Lake Manyara/ Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and have a picnic lunch en route. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, elephants, flamingoes and giraffes. There is also an option to have a cycling tour around the park. In the evening, we will drive to Lake Eyasi for an overnight stay at Tindiga Luxury Tented camp

Day 3 – Lake Eyasi / Ngorongoro Conservation Area
We will rise early in the morning to join local Bushmen for hunting until early afternoon. We will travel back to camp for lunch and then make our way to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight stay at a tented lodge or campsite.

Day 4 - Serengeti
In the morning, we will make our way to the famous Serengeti National Park, game viewing en route. This is possibly the world’s most famous National Park, (a biosphere reserve and a world heritage site), with an abundance of wildlife including lions, hyenas, topi, impala, gazelles wildebeest, zebras, cheaters, leopards and much more. Serengeti is unique for its annual wildebeest migration which is not found anywhere else on earth. We will have a picnic lunch en route and travel to our Kati Kati Luxury tented for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Serengeti
Today we will have a full day game drive at Serengeti. Depending upon the time of the year, visitors can get a clear view of the wildebeest migration and long queues of beasts and predators on the plains. We will drive back to the Kati Kati Luxury Tented camp for dinner and overnight

Day 6 - Ngorongoro
After breakfast, we will take a picnic lunch and start our game drive towards Ngorongoro. En route we will visit Maasai bomas (villages) and experience the unique Maasai life in their unspoiled traditions and customs. We will arrive at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 – Empakai Crater / Transfer to Arusha
In the morning, we will drive through Maasai land to Empakai Crater for half day hiking trip. In this walking tour, we will have a Maasai guide on hand to take us into the crater where we can get a great view of the Lesser Flamingoes. Here we will have a picnic lunch before hiking out of the crater and then transfer to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Country Lodge for an evening departure or overnight stay.
