During this interesting tour you visit the historical places Lake Tana where you visit some of the age old monasteries and churches, Gondar with its 17th century castles, the 2500 years old obelisks of Axum and Lalibela, where you find the 8th world wonder: 12 churches, which 800 years ago have been cut out from solid pieces of rock. It is still quite mysterious how men with simple instruments could make this great architectural construction. The construction of the churches have been made by the order of King Lalibela and is always told that the Angels have been stood on his side to finish up this great work within short period of time.

Sightseeing: This northern historic route trip is a trip to the “historic pilgrimage’. Among the 9 world heritage sites in Ethiopia, which registered by UNESCO, 3 of them are worth to be visited in this route. Lalibela Rock churches, the 17th century Gonderian castles, single standing stlea of Axum are acknowledged by UNESCO as a world heritage. Ethiopia is also stand at the first step in Africa for its 7 World heritage sites. The southern part is place where you can learn about many ethnic groups of Ethiopia their unique culture and way of life .This area is also rich in natural attractions, landscape, lakes and wildlife.

Day 01: Arrival at Addis Ababa
Arrival at Bole International Airport (Addis Ababa) where you will be met by a Finot Tour Ethiopia representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Bahir Dar
Leave Addis Ababa and drive north passing by Mt.Entoto through the Sululta plain, visiting the monastery of Debre Libanos and old Portuguese Bridge. Then, proceed to the spectacular scenery of the Blue Nile Gorge, where you stop for your picnic lunch and proceed to Bahar Dar.

Day 03: Lake Tana and Blue Nile Fall
After an early breakfast, drive to the mighty Blue Nile falls, commonly known as "Tiss Isat". Upon return, make a sightseeing tour of Bahar Dar. After lunch, you will have boat excursion on Lake Tana, to visit the ancient monasteries on the lake.

Day 04: Drive to Gonder
After breakfast drive to Gondar. Visit the 17th century castles, the Bath of King Fasiledes, the icon- rich monastery of Debre Berehan Silassie.

Day 05: Simen Mountain National Park
After breakfast you will drive to Debark town (100 Kms from Gondar), where the head quarter of Semien Mountains National Park is found. Here we pay the entrance fees and a scout and a local guide will accompany us. Then we continue driving to the gravel road to Cheneki, excursion to the simen mountain national park to visit the spectacular view of the roof of Africa. On this drive you will gain your first impression of the scale and beauty of this highland region, the extraordinary scenery, enjoying the endemic Gelada Baboons and the bone breaker giant bird Lammergeyer roaring around.

Day 06: Axum
On this day, you drive long (280kms) but enjoying very beautiful and spectacular landscape along the Semien Mountains and Tekeze River Valley to the ancient town of Axum. The road descends from 3100 metres through hairpin bends down the mountain side to 1400 meters in just 40kms! The drive down and back up to Adi Arkay showcases not only the immensely beautiful Simien Mountain massifs but also the people who eke out an existence in this unforgiving countryside. The drive continues through the Tekeze valley, crossing the Tekeze River, and onto Askum in the far north.

Day 07: Axum
Have a full day city tour in Axum town. Here you will visit stale tombs, which is considered to be probably the oldest monolithic stand in the world, the church compound of St. Mary of Zion, which is the seat of the true Moose's Ark of the covenant, the Queen of Sheba's palace, King Kaleb's and Gebremeskel's palace and tombs, and Archeological Museum.

Day 8: Drive to Mekelle
After breakfast, drive to Mekelle (240Km). En-route visit the 5th century B.C edifice of the ‘Temple of the Moon’ at Yeha the oldest city existed before Axum. Continue past Adigrat and visit Aba Gerima and Petros Paulos, two of the Tigray regions oldest and finest rock churches. On this day, we will pass the 6th century monastery of Debre Damos which is perched atop a remote plateau. The monastery is only accessible using a rope and the monks will help pull visitors up the 20 - 25 meter cliff. However, we only recommend this for physically fit individuals. Women are not allowed on the grounds of the monastery, and therefore, it is not part of our regular tour itinerary. However, we can stop here for those on our custom tour.

Day 09: Drive to Lalibella
After breakfast, leave Mekele and drive through Ambalage chains of mountains, and proceed to the 12th century legendary town of Lalibella.

Day 10: Lalibela
Visit of the rock-hew churches in Lalibela town, dating back to the 12th century and which is considered to be the 8th wonders of the world and have optional excursion to visit some of the rock hewn churches around Lalibela town built prior to the churches in the town. In addition to the architecture of the churches, here you will admire the panoramic view of the town with the surrounding beautiful sceneries.

Day 11: Drive to Kombolcha
After breakfast, drive to Kombolcha (327Km). Afternoon, en route visit Lake Hayk Istefanos and its monastery.

Day 12: Drive to Addis Ababa
Depart Kombolcha on your way to Addis. On the way visit the land occupied by the Afar shepherds, a semi-nomadic people who live mainly in the deserts of Denakil depression. You will encounter them on the road with their caravans of camels. Also in Senbete village, on Sunday, there is an interesting market where the Afar, Oromo and Amhara people congregate for marketing.

Day 14: Drive to Arbaminch
In the morning drive to Arbaminch through the rift vally lakes on the way visit Lake Zway which is rich in aquatic birds and Lake Langano drive further to Alaba village and their unique way of home decorating style.

Day 15: Arbaminch
In the morning drive to Chencha village, to visit the Dorze ethnic group with their unique home building style and traditional weaving. (Visit their market if it is a market day), drive back to Arbaminch. After lunch in hotel, boat trip on Lake Chamo to see crocodiles (at Crocodile Market) and hippos.

Day 16: Drive to Jinka
Drive to Jinka on the way visit the Tsemay, Bena and the Ari ethnic groups with their untouched culture (if it is Thursday you will visit the colorful market of Key Afer).

Day 17: Visit Mursi and back to Jinka
After breakfast drive to Mago National Park and proceed to Mursi village to visit the Mursi people, whose females put lip plates on their lower lip. Drive back to Jinka for lunch, after lunch visit the Ari village or the museum in the town.

Day 18 : Drive to Turmi
After breakfast drive to Turmi-On the way visit the Tsemay ethnic group and the most Colorful market in the Omo valley Key Afer market if it is Thursday and the Dimeka market if it is Tuesday .

Day 19 : Visit Turmi – Murule – Turmi
In the morning drive to Murule to visit the Karo Ethnic group who are very well known for their body painting and their fascinating houses. Drive back to Turmi for overnight, and visit market of Turmi if the day is Monday or Market of Dimeka if it is Tuesday.

Day 20 : Drive back to Arbaminch
Drive back to Arbaminch on your way visit the Konso Village .Konso tribe is known for their unique culture specially their land management with terracing they are hard working people visit the Konso kings house and the king drive about 100km more.

Day 21 : Drive back to Addis Ababa
Drive back to Addis Ababa through the Butajira road and en route visit one of the world heritage site Tiya stale, Adadi mariam church built during lalibela’s time and Melka kuntrie archeological site continue driving and evening traditional dinner at one of the best Ethiopian restaurant and departure home.

General Terms and conditions :
The terms and conditions contained in this tour participation agreement govern the relationship between you, the passenger, and us Finot Tour Ethiopia by booking a trip; you agree to be bound by the terms of this tour participation agreement.

Reservations & payments
Reservation: an initial deposit of 30% of tour cost is required to secure your reservation.
Final Payment: A deposit of rest of the payment as per your selected tour is required 21 days prior to commencement of tour or as per agreed at the time of confirmation of the tour.

Making Final Payments
Final payments are due 21 days prior to trip, depending upon the program. See the deposit, Final payment, and Cancellation Fees schedule included in this tour participation agreement for payment dates for specific programs Reservations may be put on a waitlist or cancelled by Finot Tour Ethiopia if payment is not received by the final payment due date. Should this occur, cancellation chares will apply All prices are stated in used or Euro, per person.

Cancellations and Refunds :
Finot Tour Ethiopia most people, who cancel their reservation do so out of necessity. Nevertheless, cancellations are costly to administer and involve dedicated staff time and communications costs. Therefore, all cancellations made before 30 days after booking are subject to 10% deduction of total tour cost. Cancellation made between 29-22 days after booking are subject to a non-refundable of 25% cancellation made between 21-16 days after booking are subject to a non-refundable of 60% deduction of total tour cost. And cancellation made 15 days before commencement of tour after booking are subject to a non-refundable of tour cost. Cancellations are based on per person bases. Please note, however, that reservations made after the final payment date are immediately subject to cancellation charges.

Making Changes :
Finot Tour Ethiopia understands if you need to change your plan most programs allow travel deviations that affect destination, departure date, program extensions, and the like. Note that tour plan can be changed; provided that requests are made in writing 21 days prior to the commencement of tour. Deviations are subject to a 50.00 USD per- person non-refundable processing fees and all cancellation charges of, flight tickets and hotels shall also be included in Deviation Charges. No deviations can be made or processed within 21 days of Commencement of tour.

Finot Tour Ethiopia is not responsible for acts of god or force major events, sanitation problems, lack of medical care, sickness, weather conditions, strikes and other labour activities, acts of terrorism, acts of war (declared or undeclared), quarantines, embargoes, blockades, criminal activities or any other act or event beyond the direct control of Finot Tour Ethiopia.

Finot Tour Ethiopia assumes no financial responsibility for any cancellation or delays resulting from invalid passports, visa, or other travel document requirements, or for ticket or other travel documents that do not reflect your name exactly as it appears on your passport. Finot Tour Ethiopia reserves the right to change the itinerary of the tour without prior notice. If the tour is cancelled by Finot Tour Ethiopia for any reason, Finot Tour Ethiopia shall have no liability beyond the prompt refund of all tour participants’ payments received by it.

1. CANCELLATION – DELEGATION – AMENDMENT
1. In case cancellation of booking 7-10 day prior to departure of 1-2 night stay weekend tours and 10-14 day prior to departure of tours have more than 2 overnight stay 25% of amount is charged to client as cancelling price if cancellation is made before the date described above amount is refunded. If cancellation is later, no money is refunded. If a participant who buys Travel Assistance Program policy effect payment to travel agency, in case he/she cancels the tour because of death, serious accident and sickness as specified in policy occurred before the date tour starts and vehicle doesn’t depart, the paid amount will be compensated by insurance Agency within the fame work of general and special conditions Africa Amazing Travel agency is not liable to participants by no means.
2. Our agency is not liable to for money or valuable loss occurs during tours.
3. Throughout the tour, in case of injury, death and lost happened on all kind of air-land sea vehicles transporting agency’s insurance is valid.
4. Because of any political disturbance, strike, natural disaster, technical acts, adverse weather conditions, cancellations made by transporting agencies occurred before or throughout the tour our agency cannot be held responsible. Thus, our agency has right to rearrange or change the price or vehicle as described in the program.
5. Clients can hade over their rights to someone else till 3 days prior the date tour starts. Assignee is responsible of expenses by reason of balance with assignor.
6. In case a client does not inform the travel agency in writing that he/she will attend the tour which he/she messed, travel agency can cancel all reservations made for him/her after 24 hours the date tour start and no refund is applied.
7. If the group number is not enough to make a tour or it is considered necessary, travel agency can partly or completely cancel the tour with informing participates at least 5 days before the date tour start. In such a case amount is paid back.
8. Throughout the tour, guide can change the program according to road and weather conditions as occasion may require.

9. GENERAL PROVISIONS :
1. Participants are responsible for their luggages and all belongings carried in luggages.
2. In case travel agency does not obey the agreement partly or completely, Credit Card is applied at the time of calculating of compensation payment.
