Land at the northern half of Tyler Lake is free of development and is swampy. Three streams enter the lake through the area. Houses have been built on most of the rest of the lake shore. The state maintains a boat ramp on the western shore. The maximum depth in the lake is 23 feet (7 m), and the mean depth is 13 feet (4 m).
